In Zuni culture, the rainbow is strongly associated with the Rainbow Man (or Rainbow Dancer), a sacred guardian spirit who embodies the life-giving summer rains and the colors of the rainbow. He is a symbol of protection and is often depicted on Zuni war shields. The rainbow also represents the life-sustaining rains crucial for their agricultural practices. This is a set of a ring, pair of earrings, pierced and the bolo. The bolo measurment is appx 3 1/2" or appx 83mm in length by appx 2 1/4" or appx 57mm wide. Sterling silver back. The leather tie is 36" or 914mm and the silver tips are appx 2" or 51mm included in the measurement.The earrings are appx 1 1/2" long or appx 38mm by appx 1" wide or appx 25mm. Sterling silver mounting. The ring is appx 1 7/8" in length or appx 45mm and can be worn as a scarf holder or a ring. Appx Size 8-9. Sold as is missing one or two small black stones.
