Buddy Lee, who loved Picasso style, created this really unique neckpiece of sterling silver, horn, and Chinese turquoise. Just the biggest and boldest neckpiece. I'll try to describe it; however the pictures probably work the best.
Buddy Lee cut the stone, created the sterling silver mounting and then used his creative ability to forge the face. The horn is the trim on the piece like feathers and the eye is a glass bead.
It's big measuring appx 3 3/4" from top of the pendant to the bottom. The width of turquoise is appx 2" at the widest point. And the total width of the piece including the feathers is apps appx 4 1/2". The piece weighs appx 230 grams.
The piece is on very soft supple deerskin and is braided and can be adjusted for the length. See the pictures to understand the leather part.
Never worn. In good condition. This particular piece was a beginning piece for Buddy Lee and does not have his signature; however only person could have made this. I have a bracelet by him listed also Email CarolK with questions or concerns. Buddy Lee has not been certified in a Native American tribe that I know about, but lived in Santa Fe and created wonderful unique pieces.
