Sioux War Chief Artifact

Created by Carlos White Eagle in 1981, sterling silver, turquoise and coral compose the Sioux War Chief. While the piece is vintage with the patina of sterling the Chief has all the definitions of being made by the artist. The face, the feathered head dress etched , the turquoise on the shirt and the hair tied in natural coral branch in the front and the hair on the back is also coral branch and turquoise. Just stunning. The hatband of the head dress is coral and turquoise with jet and mother of pearl channel set. The lone coral branch is the feather in the head dress. What a touch! Mounted on a wood platform with a title bar, Sioux War Chief, and hallmark of Carlos White Eagle 1981.The actual head dress and figure while dimensional has the following measurements: From top of the wood platform appx 6" or 152mm. The length of the head dress from top of feather to the bottom is appx 5" tall or appx 127mm and while dimensional figure width is appx 4 1/2" or appx 114mm. The figure is mounted on a sterling silver concho measuring appx 4" or 114mm x 3 1/2" or appx 89mm. A real collectors item and part of the set, Chief and Woman.
