While this has the style of a squash blossom necklace, it does not have squash blossoms along the sides of the piece.  A true squash blossom necklace has a center piece and then 4, 5, 6 or maybe more blossoms.  And if the blossoms are open, according to folklore, that means the woman wearing it is available and then they bent closed she is taken.

Here we have  squash blossom style necklace, it has 6 rectangular stations on each side, bench made beads, and a large centerpiece.  It's vintage Fred Guerro, Navajo, probably around the 1970's. The mountings for the individual stations show the engraved sun symbols and craftsmanship of individual cut mountings to hold the stones. Lots of work in that. Turquoise is deep color with brown.  As you know I do not call out the mine unless I know absolutely for sure the origin.

The necklace is appx 27" long and the centerpiece is appx 4" long by 2" wide. The side stations are appx 1" in length and graduate to 1/2". Traditional hook closure and the whole necklace is on sterling chain. The total number of sterling beads is appx 122 beads. The necklace weighs in at appx 138grams which is not that heavy to wear comfortably.

The back shows the signature and "history" so to speak of the sellers marks, etc. I do not touch that. To me  that is part of the authenticity of the necklace.
