Why this buffalo bolo is great in my opinion: Made by Michael Little Elk, Lakota Sioux, who was a pipe carver on the Rosebud Reservation, who lived on the Navajo reservation with his wife who was Navajo. Techinques were explained to him by the greats, Charles Loloma, Kenneth Begay and Preston Monongye.
Modern, meaningful and highly creative a piece of Michael Little Elk's is one to own. I have other pieces in the collections.
Sterling silver, buffalo measures appx 3 1/2" across and appx 2" in height at the tallest part. Tips are appx 3 1/2" long from top to the bottom of skull. Fully hallmarked and sterling silver (not marked). Pre owned in very good condition. The leather tie has seen some wear and can easily be replaced.
Dimensional and just great.
